The Phantom Of The Opera

fter touring the world for decades and setting the world weekly box office record, the most famous musical in history, The Phantom Of The Opera is coming to Jakarta in a couple months time. The original American musical which helped create the world-wide PHANTOM musical craze, will be playing at Nusa Indah Theater – Balai Kartini on 14 February – 3 March 2012.
The mysterious and entertaining mega-musical features a cast filled with many New York theater and opera stars. Its famous stage sets were designed by the late Broadway legend, James Tilton. The sets and spine tingling special effects have become almost as famous as the musical itself.
Phantom’s Composer : Ivan Jacobs has written a new song for PHANTOM to be debuted in Jakarta. It is called the Music of Life. The piece is sung by Christine to her unique love, the Phantom, near the end of the musical. The soaring song is very revealing and romantic. Phantom’s last scene now contains four dramatic and romantic songs. Phantom’s creators are doing everything they can to make the Jakarta engagement very special.
Marcia Madeira, the legendary award winning Broadway Lighting designer, is in charge of the musical’s illumination and special lighting effects. Award winning Costumer, Jose Rivera, is now in Hollywood, Finishing the design for the Jakarta Production.
